Estas son “Christmas Day”, “New Year's Day”, “Labor Day” (primer lunes de septiembre), “Columbus Day” (segundo lunes de octubre) y “Thanksgiving” (cuarto jueves de noviembre). En otras dos se commemoran aniversarios de líderes importantes: “Martin Luther King Day” (tercer lunes de enero) y “Presidents' Day” (tercer lunes de febrero, aniversario de los presidentes Lincoln y Washington).
